Why Blues

Why can't I learn to sing the Blues?
How much more do I have to lose
Until I've finally paid the dues
Enough to know?...
It ain't the same since you went away
I just keep fakin' everyday
Tellin' myself it's a better way
To go...
I know the music lives inside of me
But you just locked the door
And threw away the key
Threw away the key to my heart
Well I don' care if skies are grey
There's nothin' much I gotta say
Guess that I'll never learn to play
The Blues
Oh no, Oh no...
I sit 'n' strum this old guitar
Don' ever wanna be a star
Just wanna climb int' my car
An' I wanna go...
You know damn well you could forgive
So come on, Darlin', let me live
All that I'm askin' is this one gift:
Make me whole...
But if y' never set my music free
At least you'll know these words
Were made for you and me
Made for you and me,
Aw, but you're gone...
The winter turns into the spring
It doesn't mean a goddam thing!
That's why I'll never learn to sing
The Blues
Oh no-no-no-no
Can't sing the Blues
Oh no
Don' let the sun catch you cryin',
Oh no...
Oh no
